Abstract:
An experiment was carried out during Kharif season at AICRP on dry land agriculture project, Gandhi KrishiVignana Kendra (GKVK), UAS, Bengaluru, to know the influence of cultivation practices on soil microbial population in finger millet. Addition of FYM 7.5 t ha-1 + FYM on N equivalent basis recorded significantly higher bacteria, fungi and actinomycetes population (32.56 x 105cfu, 16.61 x 104cfu and 10.61 x 103cfu, respectively) as compared with application of FYM 7.5 t ha-1 + RDF (31.39 x 105cfu, 15.44 x 104cfu and 9.50 x 103cfu, respectively)
