Abstract:
The present investigation was conducted to evaluate the effect of Rhizobium and Phosphate Solubilizing bacteria (PSB) on the growth and yield of cluster beans. The two bio fertilizers, Rhizobium and PSB, were inoculated individually and combined with FYM and chemical fertilizers with absolute control. Inoculation of Rhizobium and PSB enhanced the plant growth and yield over uninoculated control, and over recommended dose of fertilizers (RDF). The highest plant growth and yield were obtained in the treatment with dual inoculation of Rhizobium and PSB along with FYM and 75 per cent RDF and least in case of control. This study showed that cluster bean growth and yield can be enhanced by the inoculation of Rhizobium and PSB along with FYM and 75 per cent RDF and can save the cost on 25 per cent chemical fertilizer.
